Trout River

Trout River is the southern most town located in Gros Morne National Park. The total traveling time to Trout River from Wiltondale is about 45 minutes. Trout River has a population of about 700 people.  The town boasts a very attractive and scenic boardwalk along the waterfront. Trout River has campgrounds and park facilities for the local area. Trout River Pond Boat our will take you to very scenic areas of the Trout River area.

Along  Route 431 between Woody Point and Trout River is the location of the Tablelands.  Visit this area to see one of the few locations in the world where the Earth's Mantle has found it's way to the Earth's Surface. 

Take the guided tours or do your own tours of Trout River Gulch which will take you to the Old Man, the Lighthouse, Wallace's Brook and Green Gardens.

The Trout River Pond Walking Trail will bring you through a shaded boreal forest, larch scrub and serpentine barrens. On the trail you will get a remarkable view of the narrows where the two ponds meet, and the valley which was glacially formed and which resulted in Trout River Big Pond.

The Discovery Centre is located on the highway between Woody Point and Trout River.
